is a gateway to a world of inspirational online learning resources,
curated for tweens and teens.
Our collation includes listings and reviews of over 20 highly engaging educational youtubers,
18 books and novels and a dedicated page to pop culture, hobbies and fun YouTubers, specifically aimed at tweens and teens.

The library’s Apps, Channels & Sites tab contains information and reviews of educational websites, apps and YouTube channels. With content that’s both engaging and insightful, these resources can help foster a young person’s curiosity outside of a traditional classroom setting. This page also demonstrates the innovative ways that technology can be used to inspire a love of learning in young people.

Often teens and young people can become disengaged from reading as they grow older. We’ve collated and reviewed our favourite which will appeal to this demographic. All the books we have selected contain compelling characters, vibrant worlds and engaging plots that will excite both bookworms and sceptics alike.

Pop Culture, Hobbies & Youtubers
Our library contains a myriad of helpful information about pop culture and hobbies. These resources, dual in purpose, are fun and keep the creative, problem solving and critical thinking skills of your young person sharp. We specify activities that are engaging and cater to popular, recent and relevant media. Our curated list has over 50 hobby ideas.
We have even included a cheat's guide for parents on Anime, Dungeons & Dragons and Cosplay. And because we do love gaming, we’ve accumulated a list of vidoe games that offer hidden benefits to your young person and their mentality. Then to wrap it up we have included our favourite gaming YouTubers who we find fun, have appropriate content with the right underlying messages.

Margie (She/her) - old
Founder of The Loading Zone and mother of an awesome neurodivergent teen. Have undertaken both distance ed and home schooling and would have loved a resource like this. Spent a lot of time looking for easily accessible and engaging online content.
I love to game as well, mostly on Minecraft, Mario Kart, Sonic, Halo
Lucy (She/they) - 23 years old
I’m a neurodivergent former uni student with a passion for storytelling. In my spare time, I like to play casual video games like Pokemon, Genshin Impact, Splatoon and the Legend of Zelda. Other hobbies of mine include reading (mostly fantasy or slice of life), writing stories, drawing, cosplay and collecting merchandise from my favourite games and shows. I believe that games, books and other forms of pop culture have the power to tell meaningful, moving stories and build communities, and someday I would love to publish books of my own.
Isle (They/he) - 20 years old
I’m a neurodivergent australian who is heavily into pop and independent culture. In my personal and spare time I enjoy more creative and stimulating activities like gaming, drawing, writing, cosplaying and tinkering. I like free-roam and building/exploration oriented games like Minecraft, The Legend of Zelda Series, Subnautica and Below Zero, Terraria, Stardew Valley and more. I do a lot of poetry and text-based improv writing online, build my own characters and worlds to pass time.
